I have love hate relationship with basketball. I love the sport for both watching and playing (although I have no game it makes a good comedy routine for all those around). I love how much joy it brings to my husband. I love that Pernell looks forward to it all off season. I hate that Pernell loves basketball when it interferes with my TV shows... I hate playing it because I suck... I hate watching it because I always forget who is who.

Today Pernell gave is daily basketball update. He then told me about this story that happened last night. I cried. I think it is one of the saddest things I have heard in a long time. Can you imagine the joy of the father as he watches his son. The joy of the son knowing his father is in the stands.

I just think it is so sad. Stephon Marbury will always remember every time he hits the courts that his father died at one of his games.
