Even more wonderfulness

So since my last post, more great things are happening!

Monday, 9:30am-11am, Bobbi, another mother Catherine and I are going to get together and pray for the school. We are going to start with every second Monday. I am so friggin'' excited about this! Hopefully as we get to know more of the moms at the school we will add to the numbers praying with us. Please feel free to join with us at this time praying for not only our school and children but also for the schools you are involved with and the families you all meet.

Thursday we will have lunch at Bobbi's with other moms and kids. Yet another mix of different moms.

Today Bobbi, two other moms and I met to talk about Christmas dinner. We are organizing Christmas dinners for families in the school who can't afford a Christmas dinner. It looks like we will be able to provide up to 25-30 dinners.

God is good! I am so excited and feel so blessed to be part of what is happening. For all the times I feel lost being downtown and in this new neighborhood, I have the sense of comfort and blessing ten times that amount wash over me.

I thank all of you faithful prayers for the support and encouragement. I pray for guidance and understanding with all who I meet. I continue to look to God for strength, opportunities and guidance.

Dear God,

Thank you for this confusing world. Thank you for the streets that look at times barren and cold. Thank you for the daily reminders of grace and understanding. Challenge me to put myself second, feel blessed with what I have and see today as opportunity to show Your love. Help me be an adequate display of Your love, grace and joy. Show me the dark corners where Your light will shine. Challenge me daily to step out of the comfortable and be ready to explore the unknown. Help me love the unloved, share with those who have no friends, be kind to those who are angry and listen to those who need to cry.

Amen
