People on my heart today

Monday, October 16, 2006

I am praying as I walk, do house chores and pretty well everything else today. My heart is consumed with Mark's family. I pray as the next few days will be long, confusing and heartbreaking, that they will also be a time to remember, feel the closeness of God, and a time for the family to support one another. I pray for Mark and Pernell as they prepare to do the funeral. I pray for the right words, the right actions and the ability to give the family what they need. I pray...

Margie you can count me in on the prayers. I have never lost anyone close to me yet, thank God but I've seen how such heartache affects families. I know that there is nothing we can say which will ease the pain that this family is experiencing but I hope they know that there are many people who are praying for comfort and protection during this time.

My prayers go out to them. I have only ever experienced the loss of one loved one, and that was my grandfather several years ago. I'll never forget the tear-filled eyes of my father as he wept by his bedside, it was so hard to watch and experience. These times are difficult, but may comfort and peace arise in these circumstances.
