I wish I could do that

Lucas was playing with a friend on the playground equipment after he got out of school yesterday. I gave him about five minutes and then called the kids to start walking home. Sam and Jake came right away. I noticed that Luke had ducked behind one part of the equipment. I called out to him reminding him he had played for five minutes and it was time to go now. He came barreling over and said, "I wish I could do that." I asked what and he responded that the friend he had been playing with was supposed to be going also but wasn't listening. "I wish I couldn't listen too." I looked at him about to ask if that was a nice thing for the boy to do, when he said, "But that's not nice is it?"
I love my boy so much and am so happy that he knows what is nice, what is right and wrong, and that for the most part chooses the right!

Wow! That says a lot that he knew he shouldn't do that. Peer pressure can make kids do some really dumb things. Good for him!
