The birthday party Sam was supposed to go to this past Thurs...

Sam came home on Tuesday and said the party was cancelled until Saturday. Me being (I think) a logical mother thought a note would come home. Wed I asked if there was a note. There wasn't. Thursday Sam gets home, no note or phone call, and there is 15 min until she should leave. Sam is still sure the party is cancelled until Saturday.

Side note... to confirm that Sam was going to the party I had sent a note with Sam for the parents because I only got a busy signal when calling.

So 10min before we should leave for party I call the child's number hoping to get through. Brother answers. I ask to speak to mother or father, he says if this is about the birthday party you can speak to me. I ask if it is on... he says no, mother and father are working.

The child wrote the invitations and picked the day all by herself!

I have never laughed so hard in all my life! The party is today, however Sam already has one to attend today so we will forfeit the other rescheduled one.
