Donuts

Friday, February 04, 2005

Pernell came home earlier then I thought he would today. So as he was getting settled at his desk (which is in our room... don't ask) I quickly touched base about a few phone calls, the mail, and such. Jake walks in carrying his blanket and crawls into our bed. He pulls up the covers under his chin saying, "cold". He starts sucking his thumb, stops and says, "there Dada" (because he thinks now that we will disappear every time he turns around). Sucks his thumb some more, calls out to me, "I need donuts". I repeat back to him, since there is no coffee or anything around to trigger this thinking, "you need donuts?" He replies, "yes donuts".

He then fell asleep.
