The good and the bad

Monday, November 01, 2004

I was thinking to myself, as I walked to the school to pick Sam up, that I like today. Jake had woken up from his nap miserable, but I wasn't going to let that hinder my mood. Kevin and Cole came over this afternoon to play. Natasha popped in and then Jason came over to meet Kevin and Pernell. Well, the grownups sat around the kitchen table and chatted, laughed and muttered at the children while we waited for Pernell to arrive. It was nice. A true warm fuzzy feeling. The thought of the unfolded and not put away laundry was tucked way way way far back in my head.

So walking along I felt great. When I got to the school, Jake smiled at me so I leaned down to give him a kiss. In doing that I ruffled his hair with my hand... LICE!!!!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! (take deep breath) AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! (and one more deep breath) AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once again I am shampooing combing and swearing (in my head).

Where do these #$^ $%^ ^&*(% creatures come from!!!!!?????!!!!!?????

Hey... you are just too clean! They don't like dirty hair! So let yourself go, be scummy for awhile, you might find you like it.

Once the kids get together in school again, it's only a matter of time. Don't try to figure it out or they'll drive you twice as crazy! (The lice, not the kids.)
