Learning to take a compliment
Sunday, December 26, 2004
You all know how easy it is when someone gives you a compliment to brush it off... "wow your hair looks great today!" - "This bush" or "Are you kidding I need a hair cut" or "You have got to be joking" and the excuses go on. It is so hard for a lot of us to take a compliment... easy to give one... hard to accept.
I tried to write this post for the past two days. I have ended up in tears (they have started again) and absolutely overwhelmed. My husband is loved, my family is loved, I am loved, we are appreciated! I have never doubted this nor thought we should be shown this way! We don't deserve this... there it goes again. I just need to accept the compliment, appreciation and generosity!
Our church gave us enough money to buy a new mattress for a Christmas gift. THANK YOU!!!!
I can not express to you how privileged we are to be part of such a loving generous church. I love you all!

I tried to type my comment 3 times and it never sounded right.... so all I can say is;
